Angels At Work

Outdated story but worth mentioning ;p

There were a lot of left over meat at home on the night of 冬至 (Dong Zhi). It was such a waste to throw it away. So Jane and I decided to feed it to the homeless stray dogs in our neighbourhood.

U can never find the things u r looking for but when you don't need them, they are everywhere. That is exactly what happened that night. We walked along the main road just outside our home, looking for dogs and holding the bowl of meat in our hands at the same time. No dogs, no Cats sighted. Just mosquitoes. So Jane and I decided to drive out to search for stray animals. We thought this wouldn't be hard because we always see abadonned, skinny, hungry animals wandering around the streets of Kch.

Surprisingly, it was hard! We drove around Kch not seeing any animals! It was a clear night leh. Where could they be?? Just when we were about to give up, we spotted a white skinny doggie at the roadside, sniffing around, looking for food. 'Lucky dog dog!!' Jane sang out. He must have prayed to God for food because God sent two angels to deliver it! ^^

However, when the doggie saw our car, he suddenly turned from a frail doggie to a dragon and ran in the opposite direction!! We panicked because we were desperate to feed the dog. Before the car even came to a complete stop, Jane already jumped out of the car, and called 'Gobbie Gobbie' at the same time & then put the food into a used box found on the roadside. Jane must have looked like a dog eater in the doggie's eyes because he ran further and faster and finally disappeared behind a building.

Hmm.. I wonder if doggie ever came back for the food brought by the Angels. Hope he did so our effort didn't go down the drain. Jane even risked her precious life to hand-delivered it!

Believe it or not, Angels do exist ^^
