I AM BACK!

I suddenly remembered....

I have a blog!

As soon as I got home, I turned on my laptop and uhhh... I couldn't remember what the website is >.< I googled for my own blog. How terrible is that?!

Oh my, I didn't post anything in the year 2023?! Was I that busy until I did not have time to update my blog? Or I simply had nothing interesting to share in my life anymore? 

I remembered, urging LY to start her own blog. She said she has nothing to write about. I remembered telling her to just make small matters into big matters, then a blog post is born. And look where I have been? LY loyally updates her blogspot like a diary, whereas my blog is dead quiet. 

ok ok, my 2024 resolution is, to update my blog as much as possible. I need to revive it. I need to make my brain work hard again (although I think it's overworked as I can see my growing numbers of grey hair. I think my brain is sucking out all the nutrients from my hair 😰)

Let me summarize my 2023 here so I know I did not skip one year haha

We started to travel in September 2022 when borders started to open. We flew mum to Brisbane. I must say, after not being on any long flight for 3 years, 7 hours of flight is a torture. Then we travelled to Singapore, KL, Taiwan, Vietnam, China in 2023, reunited with siblings and nephews and nieces, relatives.  They also came back to spend time with us. 

Then to end 2023, I had really bad pain in my lower abdominal when we were on the high-speed train from Teochew to Guangzhou and it lasted for 2 damn days. fortunately, I managed to become better and made it home safely. Luckily, I had my mum's trolley to use, it helped me walk further and was able to continue to buy buy buy and eat eat eat. After all, Guangzhou is food and shopping haven. No matter how sick one is, eating and buying have to continue! haha

Thanks to Jane and My mum for taking good care of me. My mum enjoyed the trip the most. Why? She bought so much that she has TWO full luggage home. Yes, she took my luggage weight too~

Yy's adventure in Taipei

It was summer holiday in France. My sister decided to send little YY to school in Taipei. 

Lucky YY for being able to "study overseas" at such young age! Haha~ 

My nephew is now 2.5 yo. When we con-call,  he talks but we can't understand. We thought he is still baby talking. Then one day we realised that he was actually speaking FRENCH! >.<

The only French words i could speak are bonjour, c'est super, c'est la vie... yeah, u see the problem haha

My sister and brother-in-law want him to learn more Chinese vocabs so they thought, why not spend one month in Taipei since there are a variety of programs to choose from. So my sister enrolled him into a summer school.

We all flew to Taipei to spend some time with them.  It's definitely nearer and cheaper to fly to Taipei than to Paris haha...  YY has grown really tall! He is still adorable. Kinda miss him now that i am writing this.

YY loves bus. Whenever he sees bus, he would point at one and says BUS. We even purposely took a bus somewhere just to fulfil his dreams. He was excited and very alert the whole time. He watched the moving items without blinking. That's how concentrate he was haha~ 

And it's amazing how one thing can stuck in one child's mind. No wonder ppl say, kids are like sponges. They see, they learn. Oh and one more, they remember. One morning after breakfast, my sister walked him to school while mum and I walked back to our hotel. They witnessed an accident where a bus hit a motorcyclist. To avoid my nephew from looking at the bloody scene, my sister quickly led him away. At night before he slept, he told my sister about the incident. My sister was shocked that he remembered! 

He said:

"Bus. Boom. Pipu pipu"

Mannnn.. i should learn from little YY. 

His story is short and straight to the point. 4 words to tell a story to be exact! Save time, save breath! 

Now I am ashamed. My posts are usually more than 100 words 🙈🙈

         Yy's adventure in Taipei

New Hobby

我有一班種花發燒友。我們還是幼稚園的 level - 不太會照顧但又很愛種很愛繁殖的那種。為了省買花草的錢，我們常常互相交換。有時去到 nursery看到喜歡的，還是會失心瘋。

我們這群熱愛種花的還成立了一個‘花痴粉絲’組群 哈哈

我們大家各有喜好。我朋友喜歡葉子類的，另一位喜歡野生的植物。另外一位喜歡不太需要理會就能容易活下去的（這個比較不負責任吧？哈哈）。而我比較喜歡花及香草類的。

我喜歡薰衣草。好幾次家人從澳洲回來，我拜託他們帶回來給我。大姐二姐給我剪了好多薰衣草的枝，還買了’催生劑‘給我，可惜還是枯了。沒辦法，本人功力有限。後來我二姐超級貼心的，她特別提了2個蝴蝶薰衣草給我，她說既然妹妹想要，就帶了最特別的品種給我。我二姐人美心美！呵呵~ 雖然後來也是變成‘標本’ T___T 最後本人決定不麻煩姐姐，我自己從台灣帶回來，目前在我朋友家寄住，2顆活1顆，我覺得不錯了。我下次還要帶紫素，不同種類的香草，蝴蝶薰衣草等等。很多朋友都說“可以帶活花回來咩？！”。可以啊，至少我和家人們都多次成功帶入。

那天朋友和 Jane 在台北狂掃蘭花。我抱著一盆薰衣草在花市等了他們好久好久。他們的邏輯就是，反正要扛花回去了，那就一次拿多點，反正一次苦過。哈哈，我不知道這是阿Q精神，積極的精神還是歐巴桑的精神？我知道自己的能力，能帶一顆植物回國就已經很厲害了，但這兩位小姐竟然買了一堆。打包行李時，她們的聊天如下：

“我覺得我帶不回去。看來要送給台灣的朋友”

“哎呀，這些裝不下”

“拿這麼多會不會帶不進 （機艙及回國）？”

“我好像可以全部帶回去了”

“可能我先把這個留在朋友家。我下個週末再來拿”

‘早知道不要買這麼多”

“塞在行李箱可以嗎？”

我在一旁看他們忙上忙下，碎碎念。我覺得幸好我沒有自討苦吃。

後來他們有順利把花花帶回國。先苦後甜。

石隆門探險去 - Bau

週末期間，我和朋友們相約到 石隆門，第二天則去 Borneo Highlands。

是的，我們就是這麼忙，呵呵~

眼看朋友們來古晉的時間越來越靠近，只好快馬加鞭。沒法子，誰叫我平時不燒香，臨時抱佛腳？也因為這樣，我發掘古晉的寶藏。只能說，幸好朋友們要來探訪，要不然我永遠都不知道我家的美~

小時候，每個禮拜天爸媽最愛帶我們到10哩小市鎮吃早餐，過後就帶我們四處遊玩。有點懷念爸媽以前的教育方式。大自然就是教材！難怪古人說，‘讀萬卷書，不如走萬里路’。呵呵，對，我最近很愛引用‘古人’的話~ 沒法子，這都是過來人的經驗談~ 既然都是名句了，幹嘛自討苦吃，不乖乖跟著做呀？古人聽了一定很欣慰吧？呵呵~

話說回頭~ 吃了早餐後，爸爸就會開車到郊外 ----- 其中一個地方就是石隆門小鎮啦。

說到石隆門，我得說一說一個難忘的故事。

隐藏很多秘密的美丽碧湖

很久以前，這裡發生一件大事。據說當時有一輛載滿小孩的巴士不小心掉入碧湖里。沒有生還者。當時大家都說湖里有很多水鬼。湖水很綠很美，但都沒人敢在此戲水游泳。

有天，爸媽帶我們來到碧湖走走。我們站在小"碼頭” 欣賞美景時，頑皮的Jane 從後面推了我一下，我失足掉進了水里。四周突然變成一片綠色（湖水的顏色），我嚇死了。水鬼的故事立刻浮現。我趕緊把眼睛閉上，深怕水鬼跟我面對面！我忘了我是怎麼被救起來的。只記得當時真的嚇死了~ 有人說，雙胞胎，有一個是天使，一個是惡魔 ..... *清喉* 大家現在知道哪個是 惡魔了吧？

那天我們先爬仙洞。要進入仙境，首先要先爬樓梯。

記憶裡的樓梯是又小又窄的。連個欄杆都沒有。雖然很不安全但也不阻擋大家的對仙洞的好奇心。後來建了個穩固的樓梯，現在一家大大小小，老老少少都能輕鬆爬到入口。那天還看到有人抱著小貝比上去呢！猛！上樓梯時，看著當年那窄小的樓梯，真的為當年為了目睹仙洞的美的我們捏了一把冷汗。真的很恐怖！一不小心摔下來就不好了。

仙洞很原始。打亮山洞的光不是來自於LED燈而是自然的陽光！這裡真的住著仙子嗎？感覺這裡是他們的玩遊戲的院子，因為真的好大好大！

站在仙洞的高處往下看，人都很渺小~ 你看！不遠的人，就像螞蟻一樣呢！ 2隻手指就能壓扁她！

下山後，我們到不遠的保靈山玩耍。這裡的小山洞擺了幾尊佛像，是華人參拜的地方。也有不少其他種族來此參訪~ 爬仙洞耗了我們的體力，在這裡，我們吃了2條冰棒及一粒雪糕包。奇怪呀，為何就是沒有雪糕’古油包‘?! *還是不解*

饿了，渴了~ 呵呵

在石隆門小鎮，我們發現了一間好吃好喝的咖啡室。在這裡，我一人就喝了3杯飲料。他們家的檸檬茶，檸檬汁，奶茶太好喝了！叉燒燒肉燒雞也是。還有那碗充滿肉香鹹菜香的湯！簡單又美味！我們大家吃得贊不絕口。決定下次再來這里大吃大喝！呵呵~ 沒辦法，我們以食為先，呵呵~

最近有一種相見恨晚的感覺。
是否人要到某些年紀才懂得什麼叫感恩，什麼叫珍惜？
不管是什麼原因， 慶幸自己有了這種感覺....

曾經我覺得這個家鄉無趣。感覺很落後，設備也比不上西馬。
曾經大家勸我不要在這裡久留因為沒有前途。
曾經外地朋友們來探訪，我絞盡腦汁想不到古晉有什麼好玩好看好吃好做的。
曾經我看到來訪的外國人，心想他們應該很後悔來到這麼悶的地方。

不是古晉的錯，是我晚了用心去體會它~

或許年紀大人，開始懂得品嚐生活。
生活，不是來自於人事物。
生活，對我來說來自於自己如何看待這個世界。
好心情來自於自己的內心。

外國朋友們將到古晉一遊。
我覺得我有責任呈現古晉最美的一面。
這幾個週末，我忙昏頭了。
準確的來說，我是忙著玩耍，呵呵~ 但我是帶著責任去玩耍的喲~

也因為他們，我更深入了解我的家鄉。
也因此，我發掘了很多’秘密‘。
也因此，讓我更愛這個家鄉。

原來它一直都很美~

New Discovery

I thought I should write a post here, just to leave a footprint since 29/2 only happens once every 4 years. How rare~

On this “auspicious” day, I think I should write something happy, something positive. After all, we only get to live this day once every 4 years.

The week before CNY, it rained EVERYDAY in Taipei. Although it’s inconvenient especially when we had to bring the whole house with us.  What to do when there is an 11 month old nephew with us?

We told my sister that may be she should create a fan page for YY. He attracted sOOooo much attention! Even strangers stopped and looked at him and told my sister how handsome and adorable YY is haha….  Too bad we did not meet any Star rearcher or else YY could star in some baby commercials in Taipei and make some money to subsidize our vacation :P

2 days before CNY, it suddenly stopped raining. Could you imagine how happy we were! It was a breezy afternoon with a bit of sunshine, Jane and I decided to cycle around. We went to the nearest MRT station to hire U-bikes. Then, we cycled EVERYWHERE aimlessly. It was great fun! We even cycled to the eatery my parents like when they were there 2 years ago.... just to see whether they would be opened the next day. Too bad they were close for CNY preparation. What to do? it's a big event after all.

We had come to Taipei countless of time. Every part of it feels familiar to us. Somehow, Taipei feels different when we cycle around. I don’t know why but I like the feeling.  I discovered nice places which I didn’t see before when walking. I cycled in a big city full of crowds and cars and high rise buildings, somehow I felt like I was cycling in a park! It’s strangely amazing!

On the first day of CNY, the city was practically empty. We cycled on 忠孝东路 like we owned the street! We cycled back and forth and sang 忠孝东路"骑车‘9遍 at the same time.. I know, we were over-excited haha...

The weather during CNY has been great. Jane and I went cycling at every chance we had but we still have a lot to cover. The next time we cycle, we plan to explore this little old place located in the heart of the modern city called 四四南村。Oh, i can't wait~ 

我回来啦！

好久不見！大家還好嗎？

好久沒更新我的部落格了。我知道你們想我，所以不論我多忙，還是要update一下。說我貼心，其實是怕太久沒更新，你們以後都不來了 :P

這新年，我過得很充實。

法國的小侄子終於要到廣州跟爺爺奶奶首次見面，一起過年啦~

貪玩（還是念家）的姐姐提議，在回廣州之前，先​​到台北玩耍。問我們要不要一起到台北來個 Pre-CNY　團圓。 哇，可以不用飛几十个小时到法國探望他們，當然去呀， 呵呵~

但...我們家的爸媽永遠不能給我們肯定的出國的日期。每每問他們，他們都說‘看先’。媽媽這次倒是爽快一些。他說‘我們二十九去，過年初三回來’。哇，我媽媽這麼豪爽呀！ 1月29號到2月10號是整整13天耶~ 這下我可先問問我姐姐們，老闆了。畢竟真的很長。

由於大家分散在不同地方，決定一件事情變成了一個挑戰。在等大家的回應期間，我趕緊先請我的旅行社朋友幫我 reserve 飛機票。簡單的放個名字可以鎖出較低的價格嘛，呵呵~ 這是經驗之談因為本人花了很多冤枉錢，只因為我的爸媽很愛最後一分鐘也下不了決定 T___T　吸取以前的'痛“，這次我當然要機靈一點，動作快一點。有句話說'功夫是假，手腳要快！” 哈哈，的確没錯~

不巧，我的朋友带團出國了，我只好請她的助理幫忙~  我對我這次的效率真的感到太自豪了！接下來就不用擔心機票漲價啦！可以放心了等待姐姐的回复了。耶！

幾個小時後，我朋友的助理打給我說機票已經訂好咯，問我什麼時候過去拿。我愣住了一下。只是放個​​名字而已，有需要拿票嗎？後來才發現，她誤會了我的意思，竟然出票了！歐麥卡！我們的台北之旅就這樣陰差陽錯的被確定了~ 心裡百感交集~

幸好後來姐姐們也很合作，喬出時間配合我們。老闆也爽快的批准了我的長假。真的感溫啊~

要去台灣前幾天，真的超級無敵的忙。除了要完成手上的工作外，還要打掃家和買年貨準備過年。雖然年初一到三不在家，但接下來還有12天是新年，當然不可以馬虎。另外還要準備給姐姐和侄子帶回法國的東西，打包行李，換錢等等。時間不够用呀，真希望一天有 48個小時！

要出國前的前几个晚上，媽媽抱怨說，為何要那麼早去台北，"害"他要在短短時間忙上忙下，有點累。唉呀，要29號去可是他自己說的呢~ 結果她回我說，他提議農曆29去台灣的。

農曆29和陽曆29差整整9天吶！我沒想到媽媽給我農曆日期呀~ 這真的是一個大烏龍！

機票和時間都弄錯～　好吧，看來我們是注定要去台北這麼多天的了，就順緣吧，呵呵~ 就這樣，我們在台北玩耍了13天，留下了美麗的回憶，當然還有爆炸多的行李！

離台當天，我和爸媽的 check in luggage 一共 93公斤。除此之外，我們還有8件手提包和行李。真的快把整個台北帶回來了，呵呵~

My passport is renewed for another 5 years! Yaye~~

Actually, I wasn't looking forward to getting a new passport after seeing Jane's new black and white passport photo. I remember when Jane showed it to me while I was eating, the rice in my mouth spilled out for i couldn't hold myself for not laughing. I'm sorry Jane, for the impoliteness.  It is just too hilarious.  i think the immigration 'fish-eyed' her photo. I don't know why. 

Jane has problem with it at every immigration. The officers would frown, kept trying to match the photo against the real person in front of them. Sometimes the officer would get another colleague to 'double confirm'. She even got questioned many times. It sure isn't fun, especially having to live with it for the next 5 years! Poor Jane~

I still prefer my previous coloured picture but the new black and white one is not so bad la. at least it DOES look like the real me. I showed Jane, she gives compliments and also said that she thinks I look a bit pale in the picture.

Hmmm.. what does she expect from a black and white picture?

舊地重遊

去年8月我第一次飛到巴黎，感覺很奇妙因我從沒想過這一生會有機會到這夢幻之都。要不是因為姐姐懷孕了需要補品，又想吃家鄉和媽媽的食物，我爸媽也不會派我出城，呵呵~

今年我又被派出城了！感覺更奇妙因為我沒想過竟然會有機會再去巴黎！

這次是姐姐要搬新家，她得看顧剛滿8個月的貝比加上我姐夫出差（原本），沒辦法收拾及搬東西，所以老遠把我和Jane 叫去當'外勞“，哈哈~ 只能說，家人的愛是無條件的！就這樣，我又帶了超過30公斤的東西，把自己和爸媽的愛送到法國去！這次跟上一次一樣，2個行李箱滿滿都是姐姐和貝比的禮物。 結果行李箱超重了，我還得把自己的衣服取出來，自己手提到巴黎。真的是無條件的愛呀~

20小時後，我和Jane順利抵達巴黎。一到姐姐家，我們就立刻’開工‘。大的家具由搬家公司包辦，小的東西就由我們自己包辦~ 姐姐的'小'東西真的超多的！真不曉得小小的房子到底是如何裝這麼滿的！結果我們一共花了4天的時間把全部小東西搬到新家！新家的東西也是在四天內全都擺好。我們的效率真的很驚人！呵呵

當然我們也不忘了忙中偷閒。姐姐姐夫有空時會帶我們到處吃吃喝喝，看風景。但帶著貝比就不能在外面待太久。有天姐姐姐夫沒空，我和Jane決定到去年沒去到的聖心堂及聖母堂玩耍，完成之前的 unfinished business！然後順便重遊凱旋門和 Eiffel Tower 。我們不甘心這次來巴黎沒看到他們因沒親眼看到好像沒來到巴黎似的，所以我和Jane買了一天11.5 歐元的火車票到處'亂坐'。當然要好好利用車票嘛！哈哈，歐巴桑的心態！

10月的巴黎和去年8月的巴黎不一樣。看！ 8月有藍色的天空，怎麼拍怎麼美！秋天的10月的天空卻是灰灰的，偶爾還會下雨咧。不過還是不影響我們的心情啦 ~

站在門前，我覺得自己'很苗條'，也莫名覺得很有安全感，。這麼大，這麼紮實，這麼重的門，我想小偷應該不容易把門翹開吧？這樣的門，我要！哈哈~ 我好像把巴黎的水準降低了，哈哈~

No refrigerator? No problem

I brought a bottle of apple cider which i bought in Paris to drink with my colleagues. Awww, I kinda miss my Paris trip, how i wish I don't have to come back to reality... more about that next time hehe,,,

Chilled apple cider is the best but the problem is, we do not have a refrigerator in the office :( So we decided to chill it the primitive way. Well, when you are faced with limitations, you just gotta be creative to find your way round it instead of giving up... Maybe that's how we were trained since young... 

My colleague accompanied me to the kopitiam behind our office where I managed to get a bag of ice for $1.... So we chilled our apple cider like this:

We couldn't stop laughing at this sight. I think my version is more 优雅 but the 2nd one worked just fine hahaha... 

A couple of days ago, Jane asked my brother-in-law who is an expert in wine, whether the Champagne she bought in Epernay would be spoilt in the hot weather since she needs to bring it from her home to office where travel time is about 45 minutes. My BIL suggested that she keeps it cool. 

So Jane, here is an inspiration for you. I think champagne in a plastic bag of ice is just ideal for you. There, I solve your problem hehe...

What we do during Gawai Holiday

5 days of work-free day just came and went in a blink of an eye... But i was kinda happy that it's over because during the Gawai holiday, hunting for a meal was been a challenge! 90% of the eating places were closed.

It kinda reminds me of Chinese New Year, when practically the whole town turns into Ghost Town. Once, Jane and I filled our empty tummies at a fast food restaurant for 1 whole week T____T From there, I learned that we have to stock up before CNY although i failed miserably this year :( I will sure make sure I act EARLIER next time. Have to be very kiasu when it comes to food! 

We drove quite a distance to the rural area to visit some friends on the first day of Gawai. I must say, it was a FOODful trip. It was fun although the weather was burning hot! 

The hosts served us sOOooo much food that I wish it was Gawai everyday! Then we wouldn't have to go all over the town to look for food! haha...  

Although food hunting was difficult during Gawai Holiday, guess what? We still managed to find some local delicacies to indulge in. That's what we do when we have bored haha...

My perfect travel companion and I have gone to many places together since we met last year. I almost lost her during my flight to Paris last year but the lovely MAS air attendant found her and we were reunited. Phew...

Rabbit is sunbathing

We just traveled together 2 weeks ago, to visit Jane. I must say, it wasn't such a smooth journey. First, we couldn't land in KLIA because, according to the captain, there was a heavy rain in KL thus we had to take a spin in the sky for an extra 1 hour. It's OK for me since my connecting flight was still hours away and what's more, it also means I could finish the in-flight movie :P

My flight to Shanghai was a midnight one. I planned to sleep through the journey and woke up in Shanghai~ such brilliant plan i know haha...

However, things don't always happen the way you plan it coz at 5am, the captain woke us up and informed that due to bad weather, we had to divert to Hong Kong as instructed by the Shanghai Authority.

Too bad we weren't allowed to disembark but I was lazy to budge from my seat anyway haha... We were served with breakfast and I had it while watching sunrise in HK through the tiny window. It was a lovely... 

Finally at 7am (yeah, we spent 2 hours in the aircraft!), we took off and flew to Shanghai. Although i arrived 4 hours later than planned but at least i arrived well and emotionally not affected and what's more, i got to enjoy the on-flight services longer. Totally value for money hahahaha...

This year, i received a Christmas gift which i had been tempted to buy but never bought because it thought I could just make full use of my long arms. Glad to have it because it really makes a lot of difference....

My check-in luggage to Paris was 28kg but none of the things inside belongs to me. My cabin luggage was 8kg and contained fragile and more expensive items which my mum prepared for my sister. So many things to bring but so little space.

As you can see, my clothes for 12 days (yes, inclusive of underwear) only occupied a small corner of my cabin luggage T___T

I must say, I really admire my packing skill because with so little space, i still managed to bring everything I needed! Unbelievable!

雖然我很愛吃麵包但這個月請不要餵我吃麵包！ ！ ！ ！

是的！我很少會對食物 say NO, 但在法國英國期間我們早餐配麵包，中餐也配麵包，晚餐也配麵包後，我變成了名符其實的麵包超人。

剛抵達巴黎是當地早上6點半。一踩到巴黎的機場，我才確認我不是在作夢！如果你能聽到我內心的話，鐵定聽到我在吶喊著 “我真的在法國了！”。鄉巴佬出城，請原諒，哈哈~

到姐姐家梳洗之後，姐姐就開車帶我們到巴黎市中心。車子開在成功之道，Champ Elysees 香榭大道時，我和 Jane 超開心的。時差，好幾十小時的路程的累，肚子餓全忘光光了~ 當年拿破崙勝戰時就是走在這道路上的！哇，想不到我也有機會走在這裡！我感受到了當時的拿破崙的驕傲了！估計他當時也是這麼興奮的！ :P

遠遠就看到雄偉的凱旋門，我和 Jane 更加興奮。手機相機對著它拍個不停。我姐一旁好笑的說'你們需不需要那麼興奮呀？ “當然要！一直都在書本和電視上看見凱旋門，以為這一輩子都不能親眼見到，現在竟然活生生，實實在在的在我眼前！

很美吧？不拍是不是对不起自己？哈哈

看到兩旁充滿歐洲風，華麗的雕刻的建築物，我確定我在巴黎了。是的，剛抵達法國時有種在夢裡的感覺因為歐洲對我來說是個遙遠的夢想， 要不是姐姐想念家人了，我不曉得何時才會觀故歐洲呢~ 話說回來，巴黎美呆了！走一走又停下來拍照~ 我姐快受不了我們了。從停車場到米雪林餐廳只是短短5，6分鐘的路程，我們卻永遠走不到，哈哈哈~ 沒辦法，香榭大道太美了，隨便拍隨便美，所以只好委屈我姐和baby咯~

我们在成功之路！耶！

去法國餐廳用餐時，他們都會先送上法式麵包給客人。就像你去吃中餐他們會送上花生蝦餅這樣~ 我們在法國的第一餐，看到一藍的麵包時，我和Jane像餓鬼一樣一顆接一顆的吞。法國麵包真的很香，外脆內軟~ 但因為接下來要享用3 course的法式餐點，我們才克制自己，但心裡超想打包帶在身上的。是的，我們也很歐巴桑！哈哈~ 從第一天想打包到後來看到麵包就想吐，可想像我們在法國吃了多少的麵包嗎~ 哈哈哈~ 沒辦法，麵包是法國人的主食嘛~ 告訴你喔，大家都會趕在星期天前購買食物因星期天和星期一商店是休息的，全商店不開除了麵包店！看到麵包在法國的重要性了嗎？而且法國麵包一定要當天買當天吃因為隔夜的麵包硬梆梆的，不好吃了~

好啦，回到我們米雪林的餐點。托姐姐的福，我們才能享用大餐因為她今天請我們吃！耶！打開菜單，全是法文耶~　我姐用她有限的法文翻譯給我們- 這是牛肉，這好像是鴨肉，這是雞肉，這個是魚肉． ． ． ．嗯，這樣的翻譯有點讓我感受不到食物的魅力耶～　人家好歹也是米雪林餐廳，怎麼聽起來像是在快餐店呀？哈哈． ． ． ．後來帥哥服務員來講解，我們立刻點下了我們在法國的第一餐！

別小看餐點都小小一份的，雖精緻但真的很紮實。連我這只恐龍都飽到不行！說真的，來法國前我沒做多少功課。我是在出發前不久，趕緊打開'食尚玩家'遊法國的影片做參考的，哈哈~ 他們真的是懶人的好幫手！他們教了一句法文讓我打遍巴黎天下，那就是C'est super (發音：些需配）~ 很美，很好吃，很贊，很棒等都能用上~ 所以帥哥服務員問說東西如何時，我一句些需配，Jane一句C'bon (very good的意思），帥哥聽了笑瞇瞇。我姐姐在一旁覺得我倆很好笑。哈哈~

要开餐咯~ 

吃飽後我們又逛香榭大道咯～　這裡很美。兩旁的樹木整整齊齊的～　而且巴黎的樹都有特別修剪過的喔。可愛及了！走著走著我們又坐下來享用下午茶了。是有名的 Ladurée 呢～來到法國沒吃馬卡龍就像去到古晉沒有吃kolomee, laksa 一樣，再飽也要來一份！哈哈～

走進店內，裝潢也太美了吧！好多雕刻，金光閃閃的，好美啊~ 我姐姐幫我點了Vienna Coffee。熱熱的黑咖啡加上厚厚的鮮奶油是人間天堂！照著這樣的方式吃我不肥死才怪！哈哈~不過人生有幾回能來到巴黎，就肥死吧！哈哈~ 苦甜的咖啡加上甜酸的 rasberry甜品，不會膩耶！

再贵也要吃喝！要不然回来后悔！哈哈

不好意思，我失陪一下因為我們三姐妹要在這優雅的地方好好的享受我們的法式下午茶~

Incident in the plane~~

i have never been in a flight for 12 hours straight before. The longest is only 7 hours... I remember the last time i took a flight to Brisbane, i spent the whole time eating, drinking and watching movies. Luckily I slept for 8 hours as soon as i boarded A380 to Paris at 12am. I didn't care that I missed my supper (rarely happened as i'm a food addict hehe). When i woke up, i found packs of snacks on my table. Love how thoughtful the MAS flight attendants were!

Something  bad almost happened when i was in the plane~  I had my best travel companion, Rabbit nicely tucked behind my neck when i went to dreamland. When i woke up, it was gone! I asked the flight attendant if she has seen it~  She said it might have fallen onto the floor and kicked elsewhere by the passengers. So I bent down to look around but couldn't see a thing as the lights in the cabin was off. 

The flight attendant then went to get a torchlight and crawled on the floor in her tight uniform to look for my companion. Then she got up and said to me apologetically that she couldn't find it but maybe we could look for it again when we landed, when all the passengers left. I felt touched at her helpfulness and embarrassed at the same time. I told her it's OK. Deep down, i was prepared to lose Rabbit... After all, the plane is huge~ And it might have been taken by someone anyway since Rabbit is so cute :P 

When we were almost landing, the flight attendant knelt down to look for Rabbit again and this time, she found it! Oh my! She is really something! Thanks for not giving up! ^^

I don't know if anyone is interested to hear about my trip but I will write it anyway coz it's MY diary! hahahaha...

When the 3 are not united

Bonjour Everybody! I'm back!

Do u miss me?

I'm physically here but my mind and soul are still on holiday.

Not a good news because:

Last Saturday, one of my neighbours got married and our already-narrow road was narrower because the visitors parked their cars at BOTH sides of the road. I reversed because there was an oncoming car and i forgot to check the sides. When i hit my brake, i saw in my rear mirror that I almost hit one of the visitor's cars  Σ( ° △ °|||)︴

Not so lucky the second time because I almost killed Tiger on the same day... haha, ok, I am exaggerating. Tiger's foot/ paw was trapped under the car when I reversed. He is afraid of cars and will usually stand elsewhere but last Saturday, he didn't move away from my car o(′益`)o   Poor Tiger.... Luckily he is not hurt but I feel guilty so I feed him a lot of yummy cookies hoping that he will forgive and forget. So far i think it's working.... :P

I was late to meet my friends on Sunday because when one of them called me at 1030am, I was still in dreamland! OMG, i rarely wake up after 8am! My body must have thought that it was still 4.30am @_@

I hope my mind and soul will come back before major disaster happens. Now i learn that the three cannot be separated .....

終於去檳城咯～

我終於去檳城了！哈哈~ 我知道你可能在翻白眼，想說去檳城而已嘛，有什麼值得興奮的。我真的很興奮很期待因為我最後一次去那裡旅遊是2001年的事了。10隻手指都不夠用因為事隔已13年了！

其實我和朋友們一直有相約要去檳城吃喝玩樂，但飛機票永遠很貴（到底為何國內的飛機票比去國外貴啊？）。但當有便宜的機票時，大家的時間又對不上。就這 樣，一年推一年。轉眼間7，8年就這樣流逝了~ 光陰似箭這譬喻真的沒錯呢！事隔多年，我對檳城的記憶很摸糊。只記得蛇廟，升旗山，檳城大橋，極樂寺和參觀睡佛~ 哈哈，這都是小時候爸媽帶我去的~

這次終於去檳城啦！耶！終於圓夢了！東西還蠻好吃的。第一天一抵達檳島就吃吃喝喝。一直到離開都還在吃~ 檳城的美食吸引了很多人但真正吸引我的是古老和現代建築屋和平相處的感覺，給了檳島一個很特別的feel。在街上行走隨時都會有驚喜，這.... 我喜歡！呵呵~ 比如鬧市突然出現這浪漫的房子！還有這很有小時候的感覺的角落！

很羨慕他們把古蹟保留的這麼好~ 也許因為這獨特feel 而吸引了很多遊客前來。其實我覺得檳島的老街有點像大版的古晉老街，只可惜我們這裡不停的把古蹟剷除掉~ 雖讓古晉增加了大城市的feel 但卻少了自己的特色和故事。真的很可惜~ 希望政府能好好珍惜和保留先人留給子孫們的的寶物~ 我們也是個'有故事'的城市呀~

因為這次人數有點多，所以找了一位當地人來帶我們四處遊玩。他叫阿俊，長得很像阿牛，但他不會唱歌也不會演戲。從他身上學到了一句話。他說如果你們餓了， 請說'喇叭“ （馬來文的lapar)。如果非常餓，請說三個喇叭（sangat lapar)，哈哈哈~ 其實三個有點不夠用，我們喇叭的程度常常在10級以上，嚇壞他了，哈哈～ Jane和我們的朋友們很愛old town的食物，離開檳城那天我竟然陪他們吃了2次（早餐和午餐）的old town!!! 噢麥卡！ 我在古晉一個月都沒吃上2次呢！真的破了我的記錄~ 哈哈

檳城的歷史文化很濃厚。我們去了一家名叫1881中天樓的舊屋翻新的旅館吃晚餐。是依以前娘惹住家的模樣翻新的。很有娘惹的特色，好華麗， 好多細節，好colourful! 真的超美的。在這裡隨便拍就可以美到爆！一般上只有住客可以到樓上，但老闆人很好，他請店長帶我們到處參觀。旅館真的美呆了啦！在老闆的用心下這舊屋有了新生命，也讓我們這一代的人有機會感受到當年的氣派！古時候的富豪真的很誇張，竟然連腰帶都是真金打造出來的！而且女生的腳環還超粗的。我們問這樣不重嗎。得到的答案竟是'因為她們有丫環扶'。噢麥卡！

我真的很喜歡檳城~ 我不介意再去。而且我要住在這美麗的舊屋翻新的旅館~ 但下一次去會不會又是13年後的事情呀？ ╮(￣▽￣")╭

Can't stop eating~

I was in Penang for a week.

I love the city! It's a place full of history and story! Love that they preserve the old buildings. Love that they have so many great stories to tell. Love that the colouful buildings. Love the food.... 

As soon as we touched down, my friend's friend took us to eat... and after we ate, we ate more.... Penang food are yummy! 

When we arrived at the open air, we saw a long Q. People including ang mo were Q-ing up for mee sotong! We also ordered coconut shave (the vanilla ice cream totally matches the coconut juice!) and waited patiently for our mee sotong and seafood platter. Then we were off for Cendol. It was a stall by the roadside and despite the hot weather, there was a long Q. We joined in. The good thing is that we didn't have to wait too long as the guy was pretty quick with dessert delivery. Cool! 

One spoonful of cold cendol into my mouth, one word - HEAVENLY & cooling! It's very coconut-ty and a bit salty... quite different from the ice kacang back home but I like it! We gulped down the big bowl of dessert. By now, we all felt a bit full. Our tummies were filled with water! So we decided to go for a walk in the biscuit factory. Not a good choice to let tummies relax because we ended up eating again as the promoters made us coffee and served us biscuits haha...

What we ate in 3 hours

After a quick shopping, our friend said that she had ordered the famous Penang fried kueh tiaw for us, and we need to be there before 3pm. What?! We just ate and now we had to eat again? haha.. This is Food Marathon for sure~ 

Apparently, the fried kueh tiaw is very famous. To eat this, u have to be very patient... and our friend happens to know his family members so she got us 3 plates of fried kueh tiaw through connection! So thoughtful of her! and Of course we had to eat to thank her for her kind gesture! haha..... 

When we arrived, i saw the uncle on his tricycle and stall from afar. Wah, he really reminded me of my childhood! When i was small, an uncle used to come to our neighbourhood on his mobile stall selling BBQ pork! 

Anyway, before the uncle parked his stall at the roadside. there were already a lot of people waiting. We went to a coffee shop nearby to sit & wait for our food. The owner of this kopitiam must be very thankful of the uncle for all he can make money just by selling only drinks and providing tables and chairs to uncle's customers.  We waited for a while because uncle cooked using charcoal! So authentic, so traditional! I have a feeling that this will be good coz anything cooked using charcoal is good hehe... 

I was right. It was really good! The kueh tiaw practically melted in my mouth! i think it's because of the pork oil he uses. No wonder people are willing to spend time to wait for this! After the kueh tiaw, my friend suggested we go for Assam Laksa. Laksa at 330pm? We usually have Laksa for breakfast. Then it is our Penang friend who said "huh? laksa for breakfast? how weird" haha.... Although we live in the same country but we have different culture~

Oppps, i did it again hehe....

A few weeks ago, I was in GZ with my sisters. From the moment we woke up, we couldn't stop eating. Everywhere we went, we had to stop by somewhere for some food or beverages. Even when we were full to our throat, we still had to sit down for desserts. My BIL is totally convinced that girls have a separate stomach for desserts, haha~ 

GZ is not only a food heaven, it's also the heaven of wholesale! From textiles to wedding stuff, clothes to Chinese herbs . I think the city is like a Doraemon! You can find almost anything u can think of here... And also things u can never think of! Love the city! we visited the same wholesale market Jane brought me to years ago. The last time we were there, we bought a lot of stuff which take up space in our homes. I won't say that they are useless because they are useful, it's just that we didn't put them to use. So the fault is on us :P While we were on our way to the market, we warned each other to buy with care so we don't end up with stuff we don't use. 

Talk is cheap, really. Everything suddenly seemed necessary to us when we were there T___T The place is still full of everything! Sometimes we only wanted one or two of the items but to get a better bargain, we had to buy more, which we did ... well, in a way, we get more for paying less, that's savings right? :P 

The building is so huge that we couldn't find our way back to the boots store to collect Jane's new purchase. It's like a maze! I think we only managed to visit 3 floors.. It's too big to walk. We sat down to grab some juice and were too hungry to continue shopping after that...
