Teh Si Freak

When I was small, we had a dog called 'Teh Si' (milk tea). Teh Si, Tessie, Daisie.... it sounds quite 'sophisticated' :P

Yes, I've a confession to make. My name is Jennifer. I'm a milk
tea-holic. Milk tea is very important in my life. There is no doubt about it. I have to have one cup everyday.

One day a few years ago, I decided that I shouldn't be drinking so much
milk tea for health reasons. I set a 'rule' where I could only have 3 cups per week. I obediently stuck to it. I'd only order milk tea at places i know that make good milk tea so i wouldn't waste my 'quota' over a bad cup of milk tea. I was strict to myself... but only for 2 years...

I didn't receive any Xmas presents from Santa Claus last year because I've not been a good girl :'( I broke my rule :( I can't recall when it first happened. I can't remember how long it has been going on. What I know is that, it is still happening....

I now drink milk tea at every chance I get. I even take the risk of having a cup of crappy milk tea at places I'm not familiar with. It's bad. coz bad milk tea brings my mood down.

I tell myself to order something else each time i'm at an unfamiliar cafe but my brain and my mouth just won't co-operate! My brain says Barley but the words that come out of my mouth is 'milk tea' instead. Muahahaha... I'm out of control!

I bought some ingredients last night to make my own milk tea at home. That means, I can have milk tea 3 times a day!!! Muahahaha... This idea, I LIKE!

The kid in me...

Bloody hot over here lately!! Sigh, Jane told me that she was freezing in Shanghai *Hmmpphh... jealous* Ahhh... I miss the cloudy, gloomy, cool & wet weather!

I wasn't planning to go out for lunch today. So hot out there that I could melt! But staying in wouldn't be fun either due to the mini earthquake. I wonder if the building would collapse if this continues (piling work starts next week. OMG! Would I bounce up & hit the ceiling with each hit? haha...)! So off we went to TJ for lunch.

Too hot to be in the AC-less cafe to chit chat. So we went to the nearby stationery shop to kill the remaining time... Why a stationery shop since we hardly use a pen or pencils to write anymore....?

When I was in primary school, one of my hobbies was collecting cute & pretty pens, pencils, erasers and stickers. I remember back then, my pocket $$ was 50c per day. I would save as much as I could so I could buy collectible pieces. And to preserve my 'invetsments', I kept them in a metal box. Hehe, guess what? I still have my pretty pens, pencils, erasers and stickers and all in a metal box... I wonder what they are worth right now? Needless to say, Priceless of course! hehe...

I couldn't resist and bought these.... cute yes?

I guess I haven't grown old after all these years.......... :P

Reunited...

Life is full of surprises and lessons. No matter how prepared one is, she can never really know what will happen next.

3 weeks ago, i lost my lunch purse. Not much inside. Just $20 or so and
an ATM withdrawal slip. I wasn't too bothered about the loss since the content wasn't that significant. Also, If i were to recover the purse, it would probably be empty anyway....

Today, my friends and i went to our usual cafe at Kenyalang for lunch
(love the popiah there!). I was waiting to pay for my lunch when i remembered that i was at this cafe the day before i realised that I'd misplaced my lunch purse. No harm in checking with the lady boss i guess so i asked her casually if she had seen a purse. She said 'what purse?'.

Ooooo, doesn't sound like she has seen it. So i explained to her the reason i asked just so that she wouldn't feel accused.

Then she walked to the counter near her stall and took a
bear purse. HA~ That's my lost purse! Unexpectedly! AND, money is still inside!!

The lady boss told me that she has picked up a lot of lost items in the cafe. At the end of each year, she groups all the unclaimed finds + $$ from her own pocket and donate to the charity. Tha'ts so kind of her! We need more ppl like this in the world :)

Long weekeeendddd

Yayeee.. so happy that our 3-day long weekend starts tonight! I know jane is more ecstatic as her weekend is super duber long. It's public holiday for her on monday and tues as well *jealous*

Everyone's going somewhere for holiday except for meeeeeeeee....

Hmm.. what should i do during the holiday? Eat, Sleep, Play all day long? That sounds like a brilliant idea! As much as i want to live a pig's life, i shouldn't as I have to keep my words.

Last night, my friend reminded me to "study hard". Honestly, when she said that, i didn't know what she meant. What's there to study I thought. I actually stared in the blank for a while trying to get her meaning. Then i remembered. My exam of coz! I made a resolution to do the exam in June. Gosh, i've TOTALLY forgotten. Sigh... Can't blame me for forgetting. It's the last thing anyone wants to do during holidays *exhale loudly*

Mannnnn... life's bitter. Hey! That's not the way to start a holiday!

Must be happy. Must be happy. I know, i go look at my holiday pics!

.... i feel soOOo much better now....

What happens when red onion meets soil?

We bought a big bag of red onions at the market the other day. I thought mum was going to cut them into slices for frying (put a bit of the fried onions in ur cooking and r cooking will be yumm!) but instead, she planted them.

ooo, that's how ppl grow spring onions huh? I didn't know that they are soOOo easy to grow! We don't even have to look after them! This, I like :P They grow so fast too. In just a few days time, they are ready for harvesting!

Sigh.... why do we
bother to pay $1 for 3 stalks of half-dead spring onion in the market when you can get a handful of spring onions with a bag of red onions which costs us only less than $1?!

I harvested a handful of spring onion the other day. Mum put some in her soup and also made spring onion omelette. SO NICE!!

I think this will be our little hobby for now on. Mum just went out to buy another bag of red onions for planting. Home grown veggie is the best!! :)

Lesson in life

There are many types of people in this world. I do not know if there is a complete list but I guess u can add one to your own list when u meet a new kind.

Just being informed that someone said certain things about me behind my back. Muahaha, probably because I know this person too well, her action didn’t surprise me. In fact, I was actually waiting for it to happen.

It didn’t take her long to do what she always does. Oooo, it’s so interesting to know how people can twist and turn facts (at least that's what it is when it reached my ears). No wonder the wise ones always say "人比鬼阴” (human is more dangerous than ghosts). Looks like one must go through the experiences of the wise ones to become a wise one himself or herself :P

I always believe that there are always 2 sides to a story. She probably didn't mean it that way but somehow it got 'translated' that way. Misunderstanding that is. But if she really did badmouth about me for whatever things she hopes to achieve, I have no hatred for her but sympathy. Just imagine how tough life is when nothing is ever good enough in her eyes.....

Anyway, I'll just let things be. It is not something new anyway. *ZZZzzz..* Also, it's beyond my control what she wants to do or say behind someone's back. One thing I realised today - I didn't know that I was worth the effort and time to be gossiped about! Muahahaha, I feel like a super star!!! :P
