My food philosophy

Sometimes i wonder, what would happen to the fridge at home if I didn't exist.

If i didn't exist, food would overflowed from the fridge and mum would probably need to buy many more fridges to keep her creations. Oooo hooo hoo, for the first time, I feel really important! hehe...

My mum is a good cook. And she loves to cook a lot. when i say a lot, it means A LOT!

My mum stayed in Perth for a month not long ago. She stayed with my eldest sister who emailed me to tell me that she felt like her stomach was going to explode because of the amount of food my mum cooked everyday. Not only that, her fridge was exploding too because she kept a lot of leftovers inside. That's the way my mum showed her love. She worries that the kids don't have enough to eat.

My eldest sister asked me how I 'manage' it everyday. hehe, simple, just finish what mum makes on the same day. That's my philosophy -  "今日事, 今日毕" ("Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today."). Otherwise, more food will come the next day and i will never be able to finish everything. It's just like our everyday work. if we don't finish it today, things will  pile up and we will end up with lots of backlogs! Aren't I wise? hehe

Every morning, i find big portion of breakfast waiting for me in the kitchen. I know, i am a lucky kid to have such lovely home cooked meals everyday! And it's sinful to waste mum's love so i eat everything in the morning and sometimes have to split them into breakfast and lunch because my 4 stomaches are already filled up. Sometimes my colleagues and friends think I am on diet (or probably i'm cheapskate for skipping lunch to save money) coz every time we go out for lunch, I only have drinks. The truth is, i already have a hearty meal before that. Drinks is sort of like my 'dessert' hehe...

In case you are curious, here is what my one week's breakfast (& lunch) looks like:

Day 1: chicken thigh, egg, veggie, noodles,
cheese muffin, yoghurt, passion fruit;
I had to use 2 containers to bring everything

Day 2: Home made BBQ pork, veggie,
flat noodles, scallop & white raddish soup

Day 3: fried rice, 2 slices of pizzas, 2 sweet corns, 2 bananas

Day 4: Fried Rice, curry chicken, bananas

Day 5: Fried noodles & Pumpkin (my fav!)

So, the next time u see me not eating, u will know that i'm practising my 今日事今日毕 principle :P

Come to think of it, my real challenge is how not to get fat  T______T

幸福爆棚!让我想起未婚前妈妈为我准备的午餐,虽然没有你母亲的精彩(大多数是隔夜菜),还是很温暖。

你也很劲叻!每天这样吃竟然还能保持这样的身材!老天对你太好了。
