What happens when red onion meets soil?

We bought a big bag of red onions at the market the other day. I thought mum was going to cut them into slices for frying (put a bit of the fried onions in ur cooking and r cooking will be yumm!) but instead, she planted them.

ooo, that's how ppl grow spring onions huh? I didn't know that they are soOOo easy to grow! We don't even have to look after them! This, I like :P They grow so fast too. In just a few days time, they are ready for harvesting!

Sigh.... why do we
bother to pay $1 for 3 stalks of half-dead spring onion in the market when you can get a handful of spring onions with a bag of red onions which costs us only less than $1?!

I harvested a handful of spring onion the other day. Mum put some in her soup and also made spring onion omelette. SO NICE!!

I think this will be our little hobby for now on. Mum just went out to buy another bag of red onions for planting. Home grown veggie is the best!! :)
