I'm not Doraemon

Bumped into a primary schoolmate last friday. She said she didn't remember seeing Jane and I at school. Where had she been? How could she not know? We were so famous back in school! A pair of adorable tall twins boh ^^ She is a tall lady herself, even when she was in primary school. She was the captain of a basketball team (but, Jane & I were GK & GS in the Netball team too!). She asked "Were you short in primary school?" Hmmm... Not sure why she asked that but it depends on individual's interpretation i guess.

Remember those times when class teachers had to take height measurements of all students & jot down in our report cards? I remembered myelf being 163cm when I was in Primary 6. Why am i so sure? How can i not remember? It leaves very deep mark & I will remember that as long as i live!

When we were kids, we all wanted to be taller, bigger, better, faster etc than everyone else. When school-recess bell rang, we all tried to be the 1st one to reach the canteen; When it was time to go home, we all waited for the bell to ring & then ran out of the classroom screaming, trying to be the 1st to reach the main gate; When we were in Primary 6, we all competed to be the tallest in the classroom and school so our classmates would be jealous & the juniors would be intimidated by us. Jane & I were known for our identical look & heights. We even received pen-pal (Ooops, i've disclosed the generation i'm from ;p) letters from girls! [p/s: i still kept them with me. they bring back fond memories ^^] Wah, after talking so much, i still haven't gotten to the part abt how i clearly remember i was 163 back in Primary 6! haha.. girls... we can talk & talk & by the time we know it, we forget to talk about what we are supposed to talk about and deviate to different topics (^V^)

Back to the original topic ;p... My class teacher recorded my height as 136cm in my report card. I was devastated! That's a 27cm difference!! I timidly went to see my teacher, telling him that he had gotten my height wrong. "I'm 163cm tall, teacher." He looked at me thru his half-moon glasses (no, he doesn't look like Dumbledore at all) & frowned. "Are u sure?" he said doubtfully. "Yes. I'm sure, teacher.", sobbing at the same time. What? I was a kid! And he was unfriendly! I felt 'cheated' for I certainly didn't look that short. Maybe what he needed a pair of magnifying glasses instead haha...

Don't know what happened to me after primary 6. I only managed to grow a few cm after that. I'm still contented lah.. At least I get to breath in fresher air in Kch ;p
