Lately, I realised that it is best to just be simple.
Simple outfit, simple hairstyle, simple home, simple car, simple
meal....
The simpler things are, the simpler life will be.... trust me, I have been there...
The other day, I decided to rush to the nearest money changer to
exchange some
money for my mum's upcoming trip. Just when I was about to reach my
destination, it started to rain cats and dogs. I decided to park at the
basement. Smart choice because upon leaving, when i started the engine,
the sun roof
suddenly opened up by itself. No matter how hard i pressed the "close"
button, it just wouldn't shut T___T I thought of driving it back with
a BIG hole on the roof but when I was approaching the exit, I saw that
it was still
raining heavily! Sigh... I was late. I needed to go back. What should i
do?!
Of course many crazy ideas went through my mind. May be I could use an
umbrella to cover the 'hole' while driving? Or maybe i just let the
rain washes down ? Of course in the end, i decided to get my colleague
to come to save me while I left my car in the public
car park with a wide-opened sun roof.
This is when I came to realise that one fancy feature means one
additional
problem.
The mechanic called me and told me that the sun roof CANNOT be fixed.
Apparently, the 'controller' is spoilt and to replace a new set of sun
roof, it
will cost me $4,900. WHAT?! I told her not to fix it. Just find a way
to seal it up since we do not use the sun roof anyway.
So how many times do u we get something we don't really use or don't
really need, or we bought it but instead of making life simpler, it
makes life more complicated?
Big hole!
If u are lucky, u might even get poo-ed by the birds!
Of course in this case, we didn't get the
car
because of the
sun roof. it just comes with it whether we want it or not. It is,
however an additional selling point for the seller.
Like what my
mum sometimes say, one more kid, one more problem. But now that all her
kids have grown up and turn out not to be so bad, she must be grateful
that she has so many of us hehehe...
