O Che again

OK, i have to admit that I'm queen of self-inflicting pain T___T

I ran to my dad's car and when I opened the door, I didn't stand far enough and the sharp edge of the door hit my face.

P-A-I-N-F-U-L!!!

It felt like the sharp edge pierced into my skin, I was so worried that there would be a big wound on my face and thus spoil my beauty (ahem).

No blood but there was a bump on my face and very quickly, it turned into a bruise.

This is not the first time the car door hit my face. Oh well, i guess some things just cannot be learned.

The door to the world

Woo hoo, i'm ready to go off anytime! hehe..
My passport is renewed for another 5 years! Yaye~~

Actually, I wasn't looking forward to getting a new passport after seeing Jane's new black and white passport photo. I remember when Jane showed it to me while I was eating, the rice in my mouth spilled out for i couldn't hold myself for not laughing. I'm sorry Jane, for the impoliteness.  It is just too hilarious.  i think the immigration 'fish-eyed' her photo. I don't know why.

Jane has problem with it at every immigration. The officers would frown, kept trying to match the photo against the real person in front of them. Sometimes the officer would get another colleague to 'double confirm'. She even got questioned many times. It sure isn't fun, especially having to live with it for the next 5 years! Poor Jane~

I still prefer my previous coloured picture but the new black and white one is not so bad la. at least it DOES look like the real me. I showed Jane, she gives compliments and also said that she thinks I look a bit pale in the picture.

Hmmm.. what does she expect from a black and white picture?

This maybe?

So cute ;P how great if i could use this as my passport photo :P

A cake just for me!

i must show off one of the birthday cakes i received from my friends this year.
A few years ago, i received a Yam basket as a birthday cake. It was unusual but thoughtful as my friends know i am yam lover.

This year, my friends got me something unusual again. I couldn't stop laughing when they presented it to me. It is a Pooh Bear-themed Jelly cake! And it's 3-D! There is a big pooh bear standing on top of the cake as if he is the ruler of the bear kingdom! When u move the cake, the pooh bear ruler jiggles with joy. haha, it is so cute!

Soooo many Pooh Bears!

The Chinese says, a good dish should have good colour, frangrance and taste (色香味俱全). This one definitely meets the criteria haha.. it's colourful and cute, it smells like coconut and it tastes cool and coconuty too... Unlike the traditional birthday cake which makes u feel full after a mouthful, with this one, once u start, u can't stop! It cools our body in this hot weather and also refreshing because of the coconut milk.

What's more interesting about this jelly cake is that, u can play with it! hahaha...

I can 'dismantle" them and
eat them like this or like that....

I don't normally eat pooh bears but these bears are quite tasty :P

Holely Moly!

Lately, I realised that it is best to just be simple.
Simple outfit, simple hairstyle, simple home, simple car, simple meal....
The simpler things are, the simpler life will be.... trust me, I have been there...

The other day, I decided to rush to the nearest money changer to exchange some money for my mum's upcoming trip. Just when I was about to reach my destination, it started to rain cats and dogs. I decided to park at the basement. Smart choice because upon leaving, when i started the engine, the sun roof suddenly opened up by itself. No matter how hard i pressed the "close" button, it just wouldn't shut T___T  I thought of driving it back with  a BIG hole on the roof but when I was approaching the exit, I saw that it was still raining heavily! Sigh... I was late. I needed to go back. What should i do?!

Of course many crazy ideas went through my mind. May be I could use an umbrella to cover the 'hole' while driving? Or maybe i just let the rain washes down ? Of course in the end, i decided to get my colleague to come to save me while I left my car in the public car park with a wide-opened sun roof.

This is when I came to realise that one fancy feature means one additional problem.

The mechanic called me and told me that the sun roof CANNOT be fixed. Apparently, the 'controller' is spoilt and to replace a new set of sun roof, it will cost me $4,900. WHAT?! I told her not to fix it. Just find a way to seal it up since we do not use the sun roof anyway.

So how many times do u we get something we don't really use or don't really need, or we bought it but instead of making life simpler, it makes life more complicated?

Big hole!
If u are lucky, u might even get poo-ed by the birds!

Of course in this case, we didn't get the car because of the sun roof. it just comes with it whether we want it or not. It is, however an additional selling point for the seller.

Like what my mum sometimes say, one more kid, one more problem. But now that all her kids have grown up and turn out not to be so bad, she must be grateful that she has so many of us hehehe...
