Silver Rabbit Year soon

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. 13 days to be exact.

Ooo hoo hoo.. it's time for crackers and acar again! *yum* They have been on my to-eat list since... i don't know... I've lost count! i only remember eating them at every year...

We started cleaning the house weeks ago. We have to start early because of labour shortage here (Jane, u should come and help too! :P). Helena will be back next week but i don't expect much from her because she will definitely be sleeping while we work like a dog and awake while we are sleeping (jetlag for her since she comes back from Paris). All I expect from her is that she doesn't mess up the places we've cleaned.

Am counting down to CNY liao.. i can't wait!
Oh wait, I still need more time to lose the weight i gained from last year's CNY eating frenzy....! Time flies! Before I could do anything, it's CNY again...
祝大家兔年快乐!

important to me

Jane said that when she moves into her new place in Shanghai, she will definitely get an oven. I know Jane didn't have an oven during her years in HK so why all of a sudden, she wanted an oven? She baked apple cinnamon cake twice after we got our oven here and that was AGES ago. May be she wants to toast her bread? Knowing her, she would rather eat it plain than having to go through the trouble. Right, Jane? hehe...

For me, I can live without an oven, an electric kettle, a toaster, a blender, a microwave (which i still don't have at home) but I CANNOT live without a rice cooker *How Do I Live playing in the background*

Lately, I've discovered the wonders of a rice cooker. It doesn't only cook rice but i can also cook porridge, green bean/barley/red bean/potato soup, boiled eggs, egg pudding, chicken rice, minced pork with salted fish, pork rib with black bean/peanut soup, veggie, black glutinous rice dessert... the list just goes on! Oh ya, how can i forget ~ my new invention - Chinese style spaghetti!

Whoever invented the rice cooker is a genius! And of course, whoever can use a rice cooker to make various dishes is gotta be a genius too :P

Saw this pink rice cooker on the internet. So cuteee... I want oneeeeeeeeee... even if it is just for deco....

I gave my room a total makeover *hard work*

Many of my family and friends did not have faith in me when they found out abt what I did to my room. I don't blame them because even I myself wondered if i would be able to keep it clean and tidy. After all, there is a famous old Chinese saying "Mountains can be moved but characters are hard to change".

That's why, there is a need for an update.....!

Am glad to say that, although the Chinese phrase is valid in many cases, but it is not when it comes to my room *proud* After so long, my room is still war-free... and i could still roll on the floor from left to right without being obstructed by unknown objects! *clap clap*

Although it's hard work in keeping it tidy but it's definitely not as hardwork as having to clean up the crazy mess afterwards. I will never ever want to mess with the mess again after the painful journey... *shiver*

Don't I deserve for more applause for such persistence? *clap clap clap clap clap...*

My sparkling clean bedroom!
